Miso, Visiting Artist
The most inspiring thing I got from Miso was that she started with a little idea and little outlay. I think about her work concept and realize how much more there is to do. Her work is not something I visually love, but its her voice and she has been heard.
Natural Outdoor Sculpture
Thirty mins. Yes! That's right, 30 min to create. I mucked around trying to figure out what to put together. I hunted and sorted those 7 brown pods. You would not believe how many shades of pods there were. Colors ranged from green to black. I made sure the ground was without stones, wood chips, bark, sticks and other pods, then placed my chosen few carefully. Those pods are smaller than my finger tips, but I like the result, It's cute.
Warm and Cool
1. Very steady hand. I just wanted to get detailed in a small way. Realisim is not my thing, but I can do i,t so I did.
2. My red pot is not as small as my coat rack, but it took for ever to finish. I kept it half done for something like two months. Trying to want to finish it took great motivation. I was scared to paint the glass lid as I had not painted anything glass before, but I'm happy with it except from it being a little lop sided. High coffee intake......pot done!

Hockney 2012
This work consists of 40 or so photos. Taken whilst in the passenger seat driving down the Northern Hwy heading towards the city. Melbourne. Victoria. Australia.
It was many photos taken at different intervals combining many moments in time to create a full observation for you.
To my delight, (a random sight to see) a hitch hiker unknowingly made a special appearance in my work. After a cooperative you turn to include him. Thank You Mr Annon!

Visiting artist, Steven Cox
Steven Cox started studying in 1977. Did one year of the 2 for his post graduate 1981. He has gradually worked though out his career ranging from an interest in the "More Murders," playing with indoors and out doors, night and day, witchery, and Gay night club scenes with a high amount of drug use expressed. Water color is a medium very highly used in most of Cox work.
An interesting technique he said he uses with water color is to put water color on the paper first, let it dry and then let the paper marks inspire him, then he draws into the colors to create images.
