Illusion

Just for fun! Stare at it and watch it wave in the wind!.......Or is it?

Paris

Large enough to go above a double bed, this Paris piece will be the pride of place. I used texture paste on the canvas first and in printed deep streaks and circles while the paste was still wet. After it was dry, I used Oil Paint and a lot of Fat Medium to make a shiny paint surface when dry. The Fat Medium also helps to dry paint quicker as well.

Hippo and Tortes

These little guys fit in the palm of your hand.

Hoot Sculpture Cake

Yes it was eatable and its all gone now! Yummm!

Little Mira

Process.    Photograph, photoshop, print, eucalyptus oil, press the print to canvas using a press, grey lead pencil and chalk over it, photograph, photoshop.   Finished.

The Hidden City

This work was inspired by Grant Regan's "The Hidden City". I used grey lead pencils. HB 2H and 6B were used throughout the hole drawing. I developed this work pressing heavy and light, using different strokes and angles, shadows and shade.

Redness

Shade and tone offset each other in this work to give it depth. I do love the deep reds on top of the pail pinks. This is a great way to make colour stand out. Try it at home!

Strong Winds

This work is only a small piece but the markings and colours are wonderful.

Purple Tone Square

There is texture using Oil Paint and Fat Medium. The brush technique and quantity of paint is used for this effect. Warm and cool tones help pull the work together and a splash of contrast yellow to excites the work.
