Working out the Kinks

The final day working on this 1.5 x 1.5 mt Oil on Canvas. My largest piece yet!.........but will it be the last?   I think not. I enjoyed the journey this work took. At each stage I loved it and yes, I have photos of its progress! Big Smile.

Waterfall Cracks

Oil, PVA, Straw, Odourless Fat on Canvas.
I am in my element again...........None of the paint was left to dry until finished. It was comprised of a series of strokes and blobs with assorted flat stiff brushes. The texture is very significant in this piece and paint is applied thickly to add to its complexity.
What do you think of this work. How does it effect you? what does it remind you of? Constructive critiques are most welcome. I'm interested. Your feed back would be great! :-)

Finches

Oil on Canvas. 1m x 1m.
It is not like me to paint realistically. But just to give a contrast to the usual Abstract Style I like, I gave these loving finches a go. I think they are still a little flat in some areas, but I do delight in them.
